One of my clients,
Amy, is a bank manager who had been eating an unhealthy junk-food diet
to comfort herself because of emotional problems connected with a
failing relationship. When she started her cleansing program, her
abdomen was extremely distended, her skin had a yellowish tinge, and
she had a strong body odor. Her eyes and her whole body were puffy
from water retention. As she changed her diet and started to clean out
her system, her skin color changed noticeably. After a couple of
months on my program, she had rosy cheeks again, and she even began to
change the color scheme of her wardrobe and makeup because her
complexion had improved so much. She had previously been very
embarrassed about her offensive body odor and had been using a lot of
deodorant and perfume to conceal it. As she began to detoxify, her
natural scent became fresh and clean.
Although Amy’s
original purpose had been to clean the toxins out of her system, she
also experienced remarkable weight loss. During the second week of the
program, she began to notice that she was urinating a great deal and
was starting to lose the bloated feeling that had accompanied the
water retention. Moreover, as she eliminated the foods from her diet
that had been so difficult for her body to digest, her energy began to
come back, and she wanted to resume regular exercise. As she stepped
up her exercise, of course, she lost more weight.
Amy became a great
proponent of food combining. Her management job required her to eat
out a lot. She noticed that if she was careful about food combining,
she would have high energy all day. If she broke her food combining
rules, she would feel lethargic and bloated.
